Spinner to sacrifice Tests for T20, WC 2011

Sri Lankan offspinner Muralitharan has said he will retire from Test cricket in 2010 to prolong his T20 and ODI career.

Murali is the 3rd high profile cricketer to have given up Test cricket this month after Andrew Flintoff and Chaminda Vaas announced their retirements. Murali, who is the highest wicket-taker in Tests with 770 wickets in 127 Tests, announced that the two-Test home series against West Indies in November 2010 would be his last.
