The 3-D extravaganza 'Avatar' bagged Best Motion Picture drama and got James Cameron the Best Director award at the Golden Globes on Monday (January 18). However the acclaimed filmmaker in his acceptance speech said that he thought his ex-wife Katheryn Bigelow's Iraq war film 'The Hurt locker,' was more deserving of the award. 'Avatar' has broken all records at the box office since its release and is touted to bag more awards. And in other top honors given away, Sandra Bullock bagged the award for Best Actress in a motion picture drama for the film 'The Blind Side'. And while the bets were high for George Clooney to take home the Best Actor award for a drama film, Jeff Bridges swooped in to bag this honour for 'A Crazy Heart' . the film also won for 'Best original song'. Meryle Streep pocketed the Best Actress award for a musical or comedy for her film 'Julie & Julia', while Robert Downey Jr won the Best actor award for his performance in 'Sherlock Holmes' in the same category.
