We can beat any side: Bhajji
Source:

A day after South African skipper Graeme Smith challenged Mahendra Singh Dhoni's number one side, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Tuesday (February 2) upped the ante against the Proteas. Speaking exclusively to TIMES NOW in Mumbai, the turbanator said that the Indian team has the potential to beat any side in world cricket.

After a series white wash against Bangladesh, the team looks to continue their winning momentum and Bhajji revealed that Team India is ready to defend the top spot and will give a tough fight to number two Test side.

Harbhajan said, "When two good teams play, stiff competition is there. South Africa is a very good side and we are looking forward to the challenge. However, we believe that we can beat any side in world cricket, if we play to our potential."

"Only time will tell who will get to be the No.1 Test side. We do respect all our opponents, but yes we are up and ready to play this challenging series. Our strength remains that we can beat any side and we have been doing it for sometime now on a regular basis."

On Monday (February 1), Smith said that India will start the forthcoming Test series as favourites but South Africa is good enough to dethrone them and regain the world number one tag.

He had said, "Beating India in India is always a difficult task. In my nine years of international cricket, I have always found India to be a very formidable opponent. So they will definitely start as favourites here. But we have also done well in the past in the subcontinent and would try to play better cricket and beat them. We have been doing well in the last two years and we hope to bring that confidence in this series. India are currently the number one Test team but we hope to take away that status from them in this series."

The South African team will play Board President XI in a two-day warm-up match starting in Nagpur before playing the national side on February 6. The second and final Test would be played in Kolkata from February 14-18 before the two teams fight it out in the three-match ODI series starting February 21 in Jaipur.

John Terry follows Tiger's trail
England's football captain john Terry is following the footsteps of Tiger Woods. Reports suggest that John Terry's affairs may outnumber those of Woods. Terry, who is married to childhood sweetheart Toni Poole, has reportedly had affairs with at least ten other women.

Frustrated with John Terry's cheating act, his wife has left him with his kids and is planning to file for divorce. Terry's off field antics are bound to have an effect on his on field job as well.

According to reports Terry is set quit from England's captaincy post with pressure growing on the FA to sack him. Terry lost players faith when it emerged that he was having an affair with his best buddy and former teammate Bridge's ex-girlfriend Vannessa Perroncel.

A 'close friend' of Terry is quoted as saying, “JT has wanted to be England captain since he was a kid, so if people think he’s going to give that up they’ve got another thing coming.

“His life off the pitch has got nothing to do with his abilities as a player or as a captain. He believes he can still do the job on the pitch - and that’s all that matters in his eyes. You tell me a better man to lead England? There isn’t one.”
