The documentary on Siragu Montessori School (operating on the outskirts of Chennai) was released at Sathyam theatre on the morning of May 18, 2008. Actor Parthiban, presiding over the movie launch, exalted the efforts of Raghu Jeganathan and Ramesh Murthy, the directors of the said documentary, who did a neat job in bringing forth the strengths of this type of education system. He also praised the system and the people behind it. This documentary calls for a change of the rote-based educational system that exists now in India. The efficacy of the existing educational system can be enhanced if the ideas of Siragu Montessori shown in the documentary are followed. This system emphasizes critical thinking, understanding of concepts, their usage, and implementation of these concepts. The documentary also focuses on bringing together children from all over the world through a world-wide postcard-sharing workshop. It calls for children from all over the world to share their thoughts and ideas, thereby expanding the knowledge of the makers of tomorrow. Result - a better tomorrow. It is really gratifying to see that Siragu School has been carrying out its operation of delivering good quality education in a new package to everyone free of cost. There have been so many obstacles in their path but this did not stop them from carrying on their job. This beautiful documentary captures all this in a lucid manner. Imagine the sea change this system would bring about in Indian society
